Pollux

Hey, just wanting to post. Pollux isn't doing well. Sunday morning he was real sluggish to me. Just laying around a lot. By the time I got home from church, he seemed normal. Monday, no problems that I could see. Then, Tuesday morning I was in the shower and heard a thump. Looked out and Pollux had fallen over, in between the toilet and wall. So, I moved him and he just laid there. Then, I left the bathroom and he got up and followed me. I put him in his room to eat, and when I opened the door, he was just laying there. He didn't eat anything. I was putting them in Mike's room so I could leave for work and Pollux just wabbled and fell again! So, we took him to the vet. We had to carry him the whole time. He wouldn't walk. Vet looked him over and said it was hemangiosarcoma. He had a tumor on his spleen that ruptured. So he was bleeding internally. They gave him shots to rebuild his blood count. I have been researching it and he does have all the symptoms of it. The vet and websites say that once the tumor has ruptured, there are already more tumors throughout the body. If you have surgery, they say they can live 4-6 more months. Why put your dog through that?? Just for a few months more to live. Without surgery, they say 2months. So, we are enjoying what time we have with him. He has perked up a little, but that comes and goes. He lays around a lot and has been whining. So, vet said to give it some time to see if we want to put him to sleep, or the vet said he could just die in his sleep at home:( Say a little prayer.

I love you Kat, I love Pollux too. I hope that things go easy and painless for him. He's been a good dog
